If you haven't seen the movie, Dreamgirls (2006), starring Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson, then perhaps you should catch the Broadway musical. Considering how the movie was based on the Broadway musical anyways, I would venture to guess that it will be much more entertaining than watching it on DVD. It so happens that the national tour of the smash hit musical will premiere at Harlem's historic Apollo Theater in November 2009.
