You can get this free app, Poynt, for your iPhone, Blackberry, or Android phone, and it does some pretty cool stuff.

Poynt's website says you should think of their app as “a mobile version of your local Superpages or Yellow Pages.” Basically, it appears to be a search engine that will let you easily find things like a businesses, restaurants, theaters, and more. You can get movie listings that include local show times, movie ratings, summaries, and trailers, and even lets you buy tickets. If you need something, Poynt will help you find a local business that sells it, and show you how to contact them. It'll even give you a map to get there. Look up reviews for a restaurant you want to try, and make reservations for the place.

This app helps you find the local services you need, and helps you get in touch with them. So, it doesn't do anything drastically new – there's hundreds of apps that do the same thing, but it does multi-task, letting you find any service instead of being specialized to just one, and it does have a pretty interface.
