If you live in the New Jersey area, you probably already know about the Quick Chek line of stores. One stop shopping for gas, pharmacy, subs and coffee and more, and more… makes me wish we had something like this on the West Coast. But did you know the Quick Check shops have a history?

Back in 1888, it was Durland Farms, renowned for supplying fresh dairy and cheese products to the surrounding communities. They built on the delivery business until that began to fade in the 1940’s and 50’s, when they reinvented themselves as a line of markets and groceries. They listened to their customers, and expanded into deli services and more, most recently adding gas pumps and services to all their locations in 2003.

They believe in being a great place to work and shop, and are always looking for new ways to be more and more accommodating and successful. For instance, their Facebook page is frequently a spot where folks can go to find limited edition offers and promotions that can’t be found anywhere else.
