July 11th is fast approaching, and with it one of my favorite holidays. I have fond memories from my youth, when I was but a wee MrJames, when my parents would take us to get our free Slurpee for Slurpee Day!

See, it’s a kind of a pun. July eleventh is 7/11, and the 7-11 stores are all over that joke like you won’t hardly believe.

Check it: the offer starts at 7 a.m. and extends until 11 p.m. on July eleventh – 7/11 and is good at any and every 7-11 location. Just stop in, and you’ll get a free 7.11 oz fun-size Slurpee for free! See what I mean?

I was a little surprised by the fun-size bit, there. The 7-11’s in my area always gave out the small size, which is a 12 oz portion. I guess maybe the different stores have different rules? Or maybe Dave, who runs our local store, is just a nice guy. Go to your store, and see what the deal is in your area, okay?
