Chex Party Mix wants you to submit your own Chex recipe – and most of us have one. I have a mix I make up for family gatherings that involves the chex mix, some ranch seasoning, and cracked black pepper. That’s all you’re getting out of me, though – I’ve already submitted my recipe so you’ll have to use your own!

Your recipe can be entered in any one of several categories: Sweet, Salty, Savory, Chocolate, and gluten-free. If your recipe manages to make it to the finals, you win five hundred dollars, a year’s supply of Chex, and entertainment expert Katie Lee’s basic Party Pack.

Win the Grand Prize, though, and they up the prize ante to five thousand dollars, cash money, and good old Katie’s Ultimate Party Pack, valued at one thousand dollars all by itself!

Last year’s winner was a buffalo Chex mix, which sounds crunchy and spicy and a little sweet – it looks like it incorporates some pretzels with the chex mix… and I’d want a ranch or cucumber dressing on hand to dip my Buffalo Chex into now and again. You know, to cut the heat.

Call your aunts, check your granny’s recipe box, or just wander the grocery store and let your imagination be your guide – you could win thousands and even if you lose – you’ll have made a tasty snack!
