“Conviction” stars Hilary Swank as Betty Anne Waters, a young woman who puts herself through law school so she can represent her brother, wrongly accused of murder, and all out of appeals with his public defender. This drama co-stars Juliette Lewis, Sam Rockwell, and Minnie Driver, among others.

Conviction is based on the true story of Betty Anne Waters, an unemployed single mother of two and a high school drop out. In 1980, her brother, Ken Waters, was wrongfully convicted of murder and robbery, and began a life term in prison. Betty Anne Waters spent the next twelve years of her life earning a law degree so she could take up her brother's case, and set him free.
