Are you in the mood to watch a free – and interesting – documentary? Check out The Economics of Happiness' events listings on Facebook for a list of movie screenings across the country!
Not all of these event listings mention that they're free, but several of them are, and/or, they're only asking for a “suggested donation” that isn't required. You can double check the event in your area on this page at The Economics of Happiness website: http://www.theeconomicsofhappiness.org/find-a-screening-near-you
The Economics of Happiness (trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYEvFRQchyw) is a documentary featuring experts and citizens from across six continents, discussing the pressing need for a complete economic overhaul. These voices are calling for a return to local economies, among other things, and discuss the hidden costs of trucking our food and goods across the globe.
If you're a believer of the local goods movement, this is one documentary you're going to want to check out. Check their Facebook for listings near you, and attend a free screening of this important documentary. Most of the screenings are happening at the end of January, but there are a handful around the 13th, too. RSVP today, and invite your friends!
