Seriously, the original, “Let the Right One In,” was freakin' amazing. I can't gush enough praise for how awesome this movie was. Okay, okay, I get it, it's a vampire flick, and you aren't into the vampire flicks anymore, they're so overdone, blah blah blah … no, this movie was different. It blew every standard Hollywood vampire convention clean out of the water. This was the one thing you never see in a Hollywood horror movie anymore: original.
So, the guy who made “Let Me In,” Matt Reeves, was a humongous fan of “Let the Right One In,” the Swedish original. He's been in dozens of interviews, singing the praises of the original movie, and swearing up, down, and sideways that he faithfully recreated it for American audiences. I've see stills, and it looks pretty good, people. I'm not gonna lie, us fans of the original are all a bit worried about this, because we're not sure anyone can do the original justice, but we're willing to give Reeves the chance.
