Fans went wild for the movie Paranormal Activity – do you remember the word-of-mouth phenomenon, the viral videos, the DVD with dozens of alternate endings? It was that rare and wonderful thing, a scary movie that used storytelling and suspense to get the audience worked up, instead of CGI monsters and splattergore effects.
