Lionsgate Films has a youtube channel. That’s not really surprising, I know – most studios do, and they’re usually used as a place to display trailers and previews. Lionsgate has on their site over a hundred movies – actual, full-length movies.
Yes, really! There’s no fee to pay, no registration or sign-up. You can subscribe to the YouTube channel, and thereby get updates and notices when new videos are posted, but, and this is a nice bit, you don’t have to subscribe to watch the movies.
In the interest of disclosure, I feel I should point out that the movies do have commercials in them. Lord of War, staring Nicholas Cage, for example, had eight commercials. That’s an ad break about every fifteen minutes or so – and that’s not so bad. The sponsors buy ad time from Lionsgate, Lionsgate provides the movies, and you provide the viewer for both film and ads – and everybody wins.
Check out the Playlist tab – it separates the films by genre. Choose from their selection of movie trailers, horror, action, sci-fi, documentaries, comedies, dramas, or family films. Then make up some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the movie! It’s free, so what the heck – enjoy a few movies!
