If you love JRR Tolkien and free movies, you absolutely have to check out this incredible fan-made, hour-long film, Born of Hope. It's based on a story from Tokien's Silmarillion.

I watched this movie for the first time a few weeks ago, and was absolutely blow away at how good it was, especially for a fan-made movie. I know, I know, you're worried it's going to be painfully cheesy, or full of bad special effects, hopeless acting, terrible costumes, or all of the above.

Have no fear, this movie is fantastic! This movie was made on a shoe-string budget, and it's mind-boggling what this crew got accomplished for the money they had. Everyone donated their time, including the entire cast of professional stage actors, and much of the scenery and props were donated, as well.

It is obvious from the first few minutes that you're watching a labor of love. These folks love Tolkien, and it shows in every scene, every line, every choreographed fight. They really poured their hearts and souls into this effort.

This movie is absolutely worth the hour you'll spend watching it, and I'm not afraid to say it's easily as good as Peter Jackson's movies!
