The band Wavves (essentially a one-man operation driven by San Diego, CA native Nathan Williams) splashed into the world of indie rock in 2008. The two albums’ worth of lo-fi punk rock recorded behind his parents’ house quickly launched him to the forefront of the new American Gargage Rock scene.

Since then, Williams has moved to Los Angeles and enlisted the late Jay Reatard's band, Billy Hayes (Drums) and Stephen Pope (Bass), to round out the new incarnation of Wavves. At the beginning of 2010, lead man Nathan Williams made the new Wavves album, King of the Beach.

Unlike Wavves’ previously released material, recorded in haphazard bursts on Williams’ laptop, the new album was toiled over for three months at Sweet Tea Recording, a world-renown studio in Oxford, Mississippi. “Post Acid” is the first look at an evolved Wavves sound however, it still stays true to their Southern California garage-pop aesthetic.
