Tunecore is celebrating the season by releasing a free Halloween Sampler CD on Amazon.com – sixteen creepy and silly and haunting tracks, perfect for the creepiest time of the year!

It’s a sampler CD, so don’t expect too much of the same thing. About half the songs are instrumentals, with whooshing wind and creaking doors accompanying the haunting music. Some are party songs, like the fun and light-hearted “Monster Halloween Party,” and others are kids’ songs, like the truly horrifying “Someone Gave Me Health Food for Halloween.”

I’ve already go the instrumental tracks burned to a CD- I’m going to be playing them from a speaker in the bushes in front of my house on Halloween night. A little creepy music really sets the tone for when the kids show up, working their way through fake gravestones on my walk, and dodging the giant bungee spiders that drop from the trees.

Man, I love Halloween-time!
