How To Destroy Angels came out about a month ago, and caused a fair amount of whispering and gossip and a whole lot of anticipation. It’s Trent Reznor’s new band, with his wife, Mariqueen Maandig on lead vocals. Their six-song debut album has finally appeared, and they’ve released it as a FREE download. Yes, I know. It’s like they expect lots of Nine Inch Nails fans to swarm the place and download it and pay them nothing! Which they will. Oh, and then they’ll talk it up and tell their friends and sell a whole lot of tee shirts and posters and people will buy the two-dollar high def lossless downloads (which you can also get free if you buy a tee shirt or a poster or whatnot) and by the time their next album comes out they’ll have a huge fanbase just waiting for it….

Oh. Hey, I see what they did there. That’s clever!

Okay, I admit, when I heard about this, I had a bad feeling. A bad John-and-Yoko kind of feeling, but relax, people. This is something different from Reznor’s older work, sure, but it’s still him, and he still rocks. Here’s a review to read before you go download:
