Sarathan Records is an independent rock record label based out of Seattle that is currently offering some free tunes which you can download at Amazon.com!

A relatively new production company, they’ve already surprised a lot of folks with the sheer quality of the artists they attract. Johnathan Kochmer, the label’s founder, is himself a member of the indie band Two Loons For Tea, and as a musician himself he brings a perspective to the business sadly lacking in most board rooms today.

Indie labels are well aware of the power of word-of-mouth marketing, and they can often be found giving free samples of their music away online. It’s a good tactic – people who hear a song might forget it, but if they are able to download it and keep it? They listen again and again, and will soon be curious to see what else these musicians have done. They seek out more, and tell their friends about it.

In this spirit, Sarathan offers not one but two free samplers, each containing a diverse assortment of some fantastic artists.
