I love Mary Poppins, don’t you?

The music, the dancing, the fun little story… but most of all I liked the way it put my little sister to sleep when we were kids. Seriously, she’d be nodding off somewhere around Spoonful of Medicine, and shaking herself awake to make it through Chim-Chiminey, and by the cartoon penguin dance number she’d be out cold.

She’s thirty now, and it still works.
