NY Jets fans, rejoice! The new Meadowlands Stadium is about to open to the public for the first time! The new Home of the Jets will host the first football game on Monday, Aug. 16, when the Green & White face the Giants in a preseason primetime matchup.

With a seating capacity of 82,500, the stadium is the third-largest in the NFL. The venue sets a new bar for state-of-the-art technology, including dynamic LED signage, four massive in-stadium videoboards and over 2,100 HD monitors throughout the building.

Well before that day however, fans will be able to see the new stadium and watch the June 14 minicamp morning practice at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and practice begins at 9:40 a.m. Tickets are not required for admittance. Space is limited and practice may be closed in the case of inclement weather.

On June 16th, you can see the first real practice in their new digs, but you will need a ticket for that event. The tickets are free, and can be obtained from Ticketmaster. It’s a great chance for people to start off the season and explore the new facility, so get there early!
