Are you a student who likes baseball?
Grade school, preschool, college – it doesn’t matter. Topps wants to reward your good grades by giving away a promotional pack of baseball cards for your good grades.
If you’re in school, any school (I called and asked. They were very polite, and very enthusiastic about the promotion) just bring in your report card to receive a special promotional gift pack of cards as a reward for good grades.
These are limited edition cards, specifically made for their Topp of the Class promotion. The only way to get them is to earn them, which I feel makes them collectible in a whole new sense.
Go to the Topps website, and find a participating Topps retailer near you. And don’t worry – there are a LOT of participating retailers. I found a dozen in my own home state alone. Here’s the link: http://www.topps.com/toppsoftheclass/totc_or.html
Topps is the company that invented the baseball card, first introducing them in 1951 to boost sales of their Bazooka Joe chewing gum. They immediately became a beloved piece of American history and culture, and folks have been collecting them for sixty years, now.
A pack of 1952 Topps baseball cards is worth five thousand dollars or more today. What might your “A” in history be worth someday?
