The good news here is you can now get the Yahoo! Fantasy Football app on your iPad or iPhone for free. What's more, the 2010 edition features a lot of new features that fans had requested after playing the 2009 season.

Yahoo! Fantasy Football has been the number one fantasy football game on the internet for several years, now – and until recently the only way to play was to set up your account on the Yahoo! site and play by logging in through your computer. Not bad, but technology has improved, and we can do better now.

If you're new to this sort of stuff, here's a quick precursor on how it works. Players put together a fictional football team, using players from professional football teams. A Running Back from the Seahawks, maybe, and a Quarterback from the Cowboys. Cherry-picking their favorite players from all the best teams, until they have a dream team that only exists on paper – or in this case, in digital form.

It's a pretty big app, weighing in at 7.6 MB, and you'll need a current-gen system, since it runs on iPhone OS 3.0 or later. But if you meet the specs, then there's nothing stopping you from dominating the Fantasy Football League! Is that a thing? Hmm, I should check on that...
