OK all you Mad Scientist smarties with budding little ones, did you know the California Science Center is free??? I didn’t, and I’ve lived and played in SoCal all my life. Check out their website to see everything they have going on (and it is a lot to wrap your head around.)

They have IMAX theaters, special exhibits like Mummies of the World, The dark side of light, and 40 years of space photography (those are just the current special exhibits but check the site for yourself before you go). They also have special badge-related exhibits for Scouts to achieve their badges, they have a Sid the Science Kid Day on 9/26 (it’s a PBS Kids TV show by Jim Henson that’s pretty popular right now), and a high wire biking exhibit. There’s really too much to mention here – just note that if you’re in SoCal, and have a kid interested in science you better hit this venue.

I know I will be taking my moms group here next month – a free place for kids to learn the latest science stuff that’s fun, exciting, modern, and offers kids what they want (lots of freedom, playtime, colors, and new worlds) – what better way to get the little ones to bed earlier than normal???
