Just six miles south of downtown San Diego, the 316 acre Chula Vista Nature Center awaits you and your family! Come see interactive wildife exhibits, visit with raptors and owls, and explore the aquariums!
Eels, sharks, turtles and stingrays on display, just a short stroll from pelicans, eagles, and (my favorite!) owls! The Nature Center takes pride in being as educational as they are entertaining, and bringing your children here is a great way to teach them early on to respect and treasure the wonders of nature.
This weekend, September 18 and 19, bring the whole family by for the Animals of San Diego Bay Days festival – free admission to the Nature Center (parking, too!) and a variety of activities all throughout the zooquarium! (I just made that word up. It works, though – feel free to spread it around. I think it might catch on.) There will be nature tours, craft games, and a few surprises to be found if you explore the nature center well enough!
For more info on the center, visit their website at chulavistanaturecenter.org, and then come see for yourself for FREE this weekend what the center has to teach and offer!
Chula Vista Nature Center can be found at 1000 Gunpowder Point Drive, in Chula Vista, California. Here's a link (http://tinyurl.com/2apl8fd ) to a Google map page if you need directions, or help finding the place. See how helpful we can be?
