If you plan on being in SoCal over the weekend, check this one out: Old Pasadena is having their Cultural Dance Festival Sunday, October 10th from 1 – 6pm. Check out the website, but definitely plan on attending if you’re in the area.

They have any kind of dancing you can imagine from Flamenco, to Nigerian Talking Drum, from Irish to Rumba and Tango. The event is free and open to all, and is held across multiple locations. If you’re remotely close in proximity, you might want to make a trip out of this one. It’ll be well worth it. Take a weekend trip to SoCal, or just plan on staying one night. The historic town has much so much to please any traveler.

At this festival you’ll see full-dance-costume from traditional dance styles, as well as authentic music and live instruments. The festival also includes free dance workshops for all ages. Also, following each main performance, dancers will teach the audience their moves and all will get their boogie on together at the end. For a day of traditional dance and art, get your groove thing moving on over to Pasadena.
